Our Covid-19 Measures

We are so looking forward to welcoming you back to Raise View and understand that you may have some queries and concerns.

Here is some information which we hope you will find useful but please do not hesitate to email us or ring if you wish to discuss.

OUR AIM - MINIMISING RISK FOR GUESTS AND STAFF WHILST MAINTAINING A RELAXED AND WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT

Following Government Guidance on reopening.

Initially we are only opening 3 rooms out of 5 so we do not have too many people in the building at once
Hand sanitiser available at entrance and in all rooms
All rooms deep cleaned
We have UV light for deep cleaning prior to your check in
We have HEPA air filters for use by guests in each room
Use of Edge Protect XTRAPROTECT sanitising product lab tested against coronavirus
Soft furnishings steam cleaned/sanitised between stays
Regular cleaning of touch points around the house
Offering staggered breakfast times in our dining room so that guests will be socially distanced
Silver How now has a small dining table in the room if your prefer to eat in your room
The honesty bar is not available in the lounge but all rooms now have mini bars
We will not be carrying out daily room tidies unless guests request so once you check in only you will enter the room
We will leave clean cups, glasses towels etc outside the room for you
Our guest lounge will be open for up to 4 people at one time so that you can socially distance and fabric sanitiser will be available for you to spray the sofa or chairs before you sit down.
The lounge will be cleaned each day and the sofas and chairs steamed or sanitised
Increased air circulation around the property windows opened on a regular basis weather permitting
Our garden is of course open and the furniture cleaned on a regular basis

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION

Check-in

We will contact you before your stay to check your expected arrival time. If it coincides with other guest arrivals we may ask you to arrive at a different time to allow space when checking in.

If you arrive at the same time as someone else we might ask you to wait in your car for a short time until we can free up the entrance hall and stairs.


We will send by email our Guest Registration Form which must be completed for all guests staying and returned to us before arrival. We cannot check you in unless all the information for all guests is complete.

We’ll be taking contact details for all guests in your party. These will need to be kept for 21 days and, if asked, we will provide them to NHS Test and Trace.

Please be reassured that your information will be stored securely, in line with data protection laws, and will not be shared with anyone else. We will also not use your data for anything else like marketing.

We are doing this to help reduce the risk of any local outbreak - by sharing your information NHS Test and Trace can quickly identify people who have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 and ask them to take the necessary precautions.

All room keys will be sanitised and will be in the room door, ready for you.

PRE CHECK IN

We hope you are all well but if within 14 days of check-in you have

• had Covid-19 symptoms
• been tested positive for Covid-19
• knowingly come into close contact with someone who has had Covid-19 symptoms or tested positive for Covid-19

We cannot allow you to check-in and will be asked to return home as per Government guidelines on travelling.

If you cancel because of any of the above, you can reschedule your reservation free of charge.

If you exhibit virus symptoms or test positive while staying with us, you will be asked to check-out and return home as per Government guidelines on travelling

Should you be unable to travel and are required to self-isolate with us you will be charged for each additional night you spend with us. You, and anyone staying in the same room, must remain in your bedroom during self-isolation. We can arrange to have food and medical supplies delivered to your room, at an additional charge

Dining Room

Breakfast times will be staggered to ensure all guests can be socially distanced.
You will be allocated a specific table to use and this will remain the same throughout your stay.

We will provide a comprehensive menu from which to choose your breakfast the night before, and a convenient time will be agreed with you.

Hand sanitiser is provided as you enter the breakfast room. Please use this both when you arrive downstairs and as you leave.

Any unused consumables will be removed at the end of the breakfast service and will be disposed of or disinfected and reused as appropriate.

All crockery, cutlery, and glassware (even if it has not been used) will be washed and sanitised at a high temperature in a dishwasher.

If you wish to order a takeaway dinner from one of local restaurants you can pre book your table in our dining room to eat in. Our Silver How Suite has its own dining table for in room dining.

Restaurants are opening up table service only and reservations are a must.

Packed Lunches

No changes here. We can still provide pack lunches with a choice of delicious fillings.

Maps & Route Cards

We have a selection of laminated walking maps and route cards available for you to borrow whilst staying with us.

Drying Room

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer this service at present as it would mean us moving your clothing through our kitchen area to the boiler room. You are welcome to use our garage for outside drying of wet gear but we ask that you don’t take sodden stuff into your room please.

Payment

We will wherever possible take payment over the phone prior to arrival. If this is not possible, we will provide a freshly sanitised card machine for each transaction

Checking Out

We request that rooms are vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure in order to give us enough time to completely sanitise the room for the next guests. Please leave your room key in the room.


Cancellation

You may cancel free of charge up to 7 days prior to arrival. If you have paid a non-refundable deposit we will carry this forward to be used against a future stay.

If we are required to close as a result of Covid-19 (or any other notifiable human disease) then we will refund all payments made in full, or you may elect to accept a full credit note valid against a future stay.

You will be required to cancel your booking if within 14 days of your due check-in date you have:
• had Covid-19 symptoms
• been tested positive for Covid-19
• knowingly come into close contact with someone who has had Covid-19 symptoms or tested positive for Covid-19

In these circumstances you will be entitled to reschedule your stay free of charge.

In all other circumstances, if you cancel less than 7 days before arrival (or in the event of non-arrival) you will be charged for any outstanding balance on your entire booked stay.

We hope this gives you reassurance of our commitment to doing whatever we can to minimise risk whilst providing you with a well earned post lock down stay here at Raise View.
